One of the endearing traditions of the Religious Education Program at St. Ambrose during the Fall season is the creation of Saintly Pumpkins. Each classroom in our Sunday School Program is assigned a saint to learn about in anticipation of All Hallows (Holy) Eve and All Saints Day. The students then craft a pumpkin that symbolizes their saint to present at our 11:15 Mass the last Sunday in October. The congregation gets to vote for the best presentation, with the proceeds going to the St. Ambrose Conference of the St. Vincent dePaul Society. This year, the Pumpkin Mass raised more than $300.00 for St. Vincent dePaul.
